5th Plato's unwritten doctrine
In the dialogue Phaedrus, Plato cites the myth of the king of Egypt and the god Tamuzie Teucie - Tenuta praised the invention of writing (all the quotations in the crowd. Witwicki):
King, this science will make the Egyptians wiser and skilful in remembrance, this invention is the cure for memory and wisdom. (LIX 274 E)
Then Tamuz:
This invention is forgotten in the souls of men sow, because the man who will teach the practice will stop the memory ... So it is not a cure for memory, only a means to remembering ... His disciples give only an appearance of wisdom, and wisdom is not true. Because it has a great erudition without science, and they will think they're a lot of know how, and for the most part will not be able to do, and only associate with them will be difficult, it will be wise in appearance, and not really smart people. (LIX 275 B)
Next Plato puts into the mouth of Socrates' words:
Something is very strange to each letter, Phaedrus. (...) It seems to you sometimes, that he (the word written) think and speak. And if they ask for something from this, as referred to (...) they are still just a show, always one and the same. (LX E)
And again
And what the one who has knowledge about what is fair and beautiful and good (...) and he will not write these things seriously in the flowing water, will not sow pen and ink of words that for him they can not utter a word and teach the truth as it should. (LXI C)
These brief paragraphs arose some commentators on Plato's thought, his teaching that true, was never written down - the so-called ἄγραφα δόγματα, science unwritten - and should be only reconstructed. Dialogue would be the same in this interpretation only a collection of theses, for remembering by students of science niespisanej.
These researchers are concentrated in the so-called tybińskiej school, founded by Hans Krämer and acting at the University of Tübingen. Currently, the main representatives are Thomas Alexander Szlezak and Giovanni Reale. Some of them also preaches is currently being considered more seriously well as by opponents of walking the path of classical interpretation.
